What I do is start my lines with tiny little stitches, just up from zero. Then over the first ¼" of quilting I ratchet up to the length I want to use. At the end of the line I just do the reverse. You can also tie off your thread ends and bury them in the quilt but that's just so much work!Chelseahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00909312890664785719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1608706196061799145.post-20791124464741092322012-02-01T10:15:12.829-08:002012-02-01T10:15:12.829-08:00Love this idea, esp with the perle cotton accent. ...Love this idea, esp with the perle cotton accent. Any tips on starting/stopping quilt lines in the middle of the quilt? Looks like that's what we are doing with the straight lines in the patchwork blocks.Elenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06075389034179626691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1608706196061799145.post-21047635101654317472012-01-31T17:20:02.548-08:002012-01-31T17:20:02.548-08:00Thanks for the mock up! I would like to follow the star there too, but am worried about puckers--starting in the middle terrifies me if I am doing a star shape!Dreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15059983303403184992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1608706196061799145.post-5647399006511719462012-01-31T12:24:31.323-08:002012-01-31T12:24:31.323-08:00Ohhhh, Ahhh! Then I thought about doing curves around the inside line of the squares. Hmmm? I like your idea better.
