Modern Relief Japan kicks off today and there are some amazing quilts involved. Modern Relief Japan is a group of quilters who came together via flickr over their grief for the devastation facing the Japanese people with the recent earthquakes, tsunami and nuclear disaster. Being quilters we decided the most appropriate thing to do would be to quilt. And not just quilt, sell tickets for the quilts made! So please, head over to Modern Relief Japan to get all the information, buy a raffle ticket (or tickets!), and see some of the gorgeous quilts on offer. Each Monday between today and May 16th a new batch of quilts will be profiled, so check back each week to see all the amazing work!
And how's my quilt for Modern Relief Japan going? Not too bad. I was hoping to get it pinned today but with plumbing issues, the husband at home and a dog who needed a tummy tuck (ok, her staples removed, but close enough), I just didn't get the time.
cheers,
C
