Ties

image from the purl bee

Does anyone have any hints for sewing ties?  I made one once using the Purl Bee tutorial and it just didn't come out all that well.  It looks like Jamie is perpetually caught in a wind storm when he wears it, the tie likes to curl off to one side.  Did I stretch my bias?  Should I avoid cutting on the bias at all?  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

  1. I made ties one time by a pattern, don't have it anymore...and I am so sorry that I can not help you. Maybe a tie pin?

  3. I haven't made a tie yet, but I so have a pattern bookmarked that is highly recommended by a friend who has. :) You can find it here:

  4. Oh I was so hopeful when I saw the ties you had a pattern. I would just love to make a tie for myself that would be way cool. I am going to go check out the link Jenelle put up and see if that works.
