single girl choices

I've finally finished quilting my single girl!  After months of agonizing over how to quilt it I decided that something simple really would be best.  Denyse's designs always seem to want simple quilting, I don't know why I fought that for so long.

Now I have to pick the perfect binding.  Normally I know right away what I want to bind a quilt with.  This one I'm stumped.  Ideally I'd use a hot pink with white polka dots, but since that special flower doesn't live in my stash, I'm hoping one of these will work.

Sandi Henderson plaid.  I used this in the rings so I like the continuity, but I wonder if it's too fussy?

Pink pezzy print.  I wonder if this is just too much white against the linen.

Blue flea market fancy vines.

Pink flea market fancy vines.

I really thought after looking at all the photos something would jump out at me as being perfect.  They're all good but none of them seem quite right.  What do you think?

  1. Well in my opinion they all look great but I think I'd pick the pink plaid. :) Straight line quilting - kind of shocking coming from you, but it looks great!

  2. Some great options! I'd go with the pink plaid or the blue FMF. I still have this quilt on my to-do list someday :)

  3. I really like the plaid or pez. The pez makes a simpler border that I think won't stand out as much while the plaid waves hello. Depends which effect you want

  5. I love the pink vines as binding :)

  6. I'd go for a solid. There's so much wonderfulness, with all the prints, I think a solid would make a great statement.

  7. Beautiful!! I love the pink vines too. And now this is on my list as a must make. It's gorgeous Chelsea!!

  8. I really like the blue vines. I agree the pezzy is too much white, while any of the other 3 will work fine, but I do like the blue vines best.

  9. I'd go with the pink vines or plaid. I like pink with it too!

  10. Your quilt looks beautiful. Personally, the pink plaid grabs me the most, and because you only see a little bit in the bindng I don't think its too fussy. Can't wait to see what you chose, and your finished quilt!

  11. Love the plaid! Or either of the vines. "Single Girl" is such a neat pattern, but for whatever reason, the name always bugs the heck out of me!

  12. I LOVE the plaid one. The others are all sort of meh to me after seeing that one. :)

  13. PLAID!!! The nice thing about being single is you can be as outrageous as you want to be :)

  14. I say use all of them! I love having multiple fabrics in my bindings. I love the way you quilted it!

  17. I adore the plaid! It caught my eye while I was scrolling down. My second favorite is the pink vines. Gorgeous quilt!

  18. I vote for the blue vines - the stripe looks great and the blue pops really nicely against the colours in the rings.

  22. I'm halfway through hand quilting mine, so a while away from bidning! But I love the pink pezzy print for yours!

  23. Pink plaid (warm choice) or blue vines (cool choice). The pink plaid waves hello in a very friendly way, and the blue vines draw together all the blue bits in the quilt without being too showy.

  24. oh i love the plaid for sure. it is the best for me and i think it is because it looks like it is on the bias. if the vines were on the bias i would probably like them just as well. but i would choose pink either way.

  25. I like the plaid best.

    I love the quilting xxx

  26. I like the pink plaid! Can't wait to see the finished quilt!

  27. I like the first one and the last one, but don't like the pezzy print at all.

  28. Vines. If you want the blues to pop more in your quilt - the blue vines. If you want pink to be the overarching theme - pink vines. Personally I like the pink vines better - the black part of the blue vines is throwing me off. Can't wait to see what you pick!
    cheers!

  29. I think your quilting looks great with this design! I'd go with the pink plaid binding myself and I agree that the pezzy print has too much white. Looking forward to seeing the finished quilt!

  31. Your quilt is simply stunning. I'm completely useless re the binding as I can't choose - all seem to go perfectly.

  32. Beautiful and simple! I think I like the market vines in pink the best, although there are several good choices here. Do you have anymore of the Heather Bailey print in the photos above (pink with white and yellow squares)?

  33. It's gorgeous! I like the blue vines the best! I used natural linen for my single girl, too, but I have a LONG ways to go!

  34. I love the Sarah Henderson plaid, second would be the pink vines. But really, they'd all be lovely given such a good looking quilt to frame. Good luck deciding!

  35. Another vote for the plaid...but if not that, then the pink vines, but cut it on the bias. Maybe that's why it hasn't "jumped out" at you yet.

  36. oh, definately the plaid! this is such a lovely quilt :)
