giveaway time!

Thank you so much to the 202 peeps who've decided to clutter up their reader feed with my senseless ramblings.  You rock!  So in honour of your awesomeness, a giveaway.  40 charms (5" squares) of fabric from my stash to yours.  I haven't cut anything yet, but I have pulled a few from my charm packs of Aneela's Sew Stitchy (picked up from Bake Shop Desserts) and Ellen's Quilt Blocks, which will probably make the stack.

The rules are pretty simple:
  • As long as there's a postal service that will deliver to you, go ahead and enter.
  • If you're a follower via google friend connect you're already entered.
  • Want another entry?  Leave a comment about something interesting to you - another hobby, a book you've read or are looking forward to, a fabric line you can't wait to come out, a weird talent (I can pick my nose with my tongue), whatever.  Just something interesting or funny or weird
I'll let the random bot draw a number the morning of the 3rd, by which time hopefully my brain will be defuzzing from the Canada day festivities!

  2. I have a stupid human trick: I can move one eye at a time....:)

  3. I just had a two-hour longarm lesson and scheduled a second lesson/rental to "practice" more on a quilt top that's ready to be quilted - so exciting to me! Thanks for the chance!

  5. Ok, I'm usually pretty envious of people that have those unique talents b/c I can't think of one that I have personally, but for the first time ever I am not at all feeling left out due to my inability to pick my nose with my tongue. I am, however, anxiously awaiting the arrival of some Winterkist with which have a summer playdate! Congrats on 200 followers!

  6. Congrats... mostly I'm looking forward to seeing your Swoon quilt in it's entirety. I sometimes wait weeks for the magical combination for photo day. I 'spect Canada is somewhat like Iowa in that respect.

  7. Hmmm...it isn't much of a talent, but my left eye makes a creepy creaky sound when I rub it. When I was in undergrad I could freak out inebriated friends with tales of my glass eye. I would let them off the hook pretty quickly, though; I'm not much of a prankster as it turns out :(

  8. Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway! Can't really think of any strange talents, but I am excited for the new Cuzco fabric line by Kate Spain!

  15. Congrats on the 200 followers! I'm also a knitter. I love to knit lace. I actually love my hobbies and tend to run out of time everyday! Thanks for the giveaway!!

  16. Congratulations on getting to the big 2-0-0! Hm, another hobby... my cats? Home remodeling? Nothing particularly exciting, unfortunately. Recently these two hobbies combined themselves - the hubby's cat decided it was a good idea to stick her head down a hole in our bathroom floor (which we're currently remodeling). We woke up, she was without her collar...because it had come off when she pulled her head out of the hole! Hubby had to go down into the basement to get it. :)

  17. Congrats on 200..yeah! Another hobby..knitting-just as obsessed as quilting. Weird..i can bend back the upper part of my thumb at least 90 degrees. I should take a picture!

  19. Way to go on 200 followers! And for the record, I don't consider your blog as a clog in my reader :) I think it's the bees knees! Something interesting: I learned to say my alphabet backwards before I learned it forward. It's a weird trick my grandmother taught all her kids, and eventually all her grandkids. Everyone in the family can do it.

  20. Congrats on 200 - love seeing what you are working on. I have a book waiting for me and am excited to read "The Lost Wife". Thanks for the great giveaway.

  21. Nice work! I think the fresh look of the graphics on your blog is attracting lots of new readers. My strange little trick is that I can write backwards and forwards in cursive writing at the same time (right to left with my left hand and left to right with my right hand). Might have something to do with the fact that I'm a lefty!

I find it funny when they bring things like full sized charcoal grills. 121. Congratulations! Something interesting...hmm...My kids really fit the term African American - Dad from Ghana, and my Dad's family has been in the U.S. since the first one came to the New World in 1620. So a combo of the old with the new.

  122. I love the new Winterkist line. I can't wait. Something interesting: I live in South Australia, and I love to sew anything but most especially softies and I love Japanese patterns even though I can't speak a word of Japanese. I can follow the pictures and the measurements are in "English" so that helps and I have to hope that I choose the right fabrics as I don't know if they are using a stretch or non-stretch fabric.
    Congratulations on passing 200 followers.
