I'm finding myself drawn recently to palettes of bright plus black. Which is so strange! It's not like I decorate with black or even wear much of it (one black sweater + black long johns excepted). But for my sewing I'm wanting it more and more.
Like this little wallhanging / mug rug / thingy. A few months ago that binding would have been hot pink. Today, black.
I went all out on the new cat bed. Lots of black, plus yellow, red, aqua and taupe. Without that black it would have been so boring, so primaries plus taupe. I mean, taupe, really? But add the black and suddenly it's edgy.
Maybe even sexy.
Can a patchwork cat bed be sexy? I think I need to get out more.

ReplyDeleteOh god, is my cat supposed to have a bed? Crap. Mine just sleeps on open books, fabric I'm cutting, or the open laptop. Basically the most annoying places possible ;-)
