Want to win an awesome ruler that sharpens your blades as you cut, doesn't slip around and is perfect for squaring up big blocks? Who wouldn't, right? So here's 3 ways to enter:
1. Leave a comment on this post! Easy right? And since I'm thinking about taking the plunge and starting up a longarm quilting business, I'd love any comments about your thoughts or experiences with longarm quilting, links to great longarmers, etc. And hey, if you want to help finance it, that would be awesome, too. (kidding, unless you're my parents!)
2. Blog about this giveaway and leave a comment letting me know.
3. Add my blog to your link list/blogroll and leave a comment letting me know.
I'll be drawing the winner next Sunday.
Good luck!

Hello! Thanks for commenting on my blog and letting me know about your giveaway. The ruler looks great. I have to admit that I don't completely get the Blythe doll thing either, although I am fascinated looking at the pictures of them.
ReplyDeleteLet me start by saying, "thanks! for being so generous" I can think of one machine quilter you need to check out. http://thatcrazyquiltygirl.blogspot.com/ Let me know what you think! She is super exciting. I love that she encourages those of us that are rarely square. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are on my blogroll.
ReplyDeleteThat's the first time I hear about this ruler - looks really neat! Oh, and I love your single girl...
ReplyDeleteShirley
Okay so this is not the first time I've heard of this ruler, I guess I need to get it. Oh and having one for bigger blocks. . that would be AWESOME. Super excited about seeing what you come up with if you get a machine.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I really want to try one of these! I found one at my lqs, but it was too small for what i wanted and they only had 1 size.
ReplyDeleteI have never used a long arm quilter, but i used to have a mid arm system. I did some quilting for others, but I dont really have any words of wisdom... I just found that I didn't enjoy quilting for others, bc it took away from my quilting time. But i also had a very fussy toddler at the time. Good luck to you!
Thanks for the giveaway!
You're on my reader list!
ReplyDeleteI've been so intrigued with this ruler! I haven't even seen one in a shop yet. As for long-arm quilting, I'm about to get a quilt done this way for the very first time so I have no previous experience. I'm very excited about it, though. I'll be able to make more quilts for friends and family if I get them long-arm quilted. And that's a good thing, right?
ReplyDeleteI'm a newbie to quilting.. so any tool that I can add to my collection would be great!!
ReplyDeletejust stumbled across your blog on the weekend and have it bookmarked :D
..may even get up the courage to do the single girl project!
I have seen this ruler advertised and I'm thinking I really need one. Dull blades are so frustrating! As for the long arm business, I had a wise lady tell me the most important step is inspecting the quilt top with the customer when they bring it in. Note if seams are loose, things aren't square, etc. Sometimes she makes people take things back and re-work them before she agrees to quilt them. Having a well made top will enable you to produce a well made quilt. Also, use good thread!
ReplyDeleteI don't know any long arm quilters to recommend. Never used one. Sorry. But thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOh I have been eyeing this and would love to win one. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI quilt my own quilts but I do sell custom quilts. My words of advice if you want a longarm business is realize its a business. The fun can be dampened when you have to create on someones else's time frame, style and demands. Looking forward to seeing what you decide.
SUCH A VERY NEAT GIVEAWAY!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS FOR SHARING!

A ruler that sharpens my rotary cutter that always seems to have a burr -- count me in - thanks for the generous giveaway. RE: longarm - have not used. Once I used a quilter with a computerized machine that only does edge to edge quilting - nothing hand guided. It was very expensive even though I selected a simple design she had used before. alternate email mlwright29 (at) hotmail (dot)com
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about these rulers...thanks for the chance to win one!
ReplyDeleteI am so anxious to try those rulers! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteYou're on my blogroll!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win this! My cutters always seem to skip. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win that ruler and try it out...my blades always need sharpening! I have no experience with long-arming at all...sorry.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the long arm quilting! I have never had it done before, but what I have seen looks amazing. You will do great.
ReplyDeleteOoh! I've been eyeing those rulers....! I have quilted all of my own items so far -- but they've all been pretty small. I did 2 twin sized quilts & they were soooo tedious! I would love to find someone who does long arm quilting to help me with some other big projects I have planned. Plus, there's so many types of stitching the long arm can do that I (and my cheapy machine!) can't do.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to enter!
I would love to win the ruler. I've had no experience yet with LongArm quilters. I see the prices extra, but it's too hard to figure it out for me.
ReplyDeleteI could use a new 12.5" square, mine is so worn and notched. I have 2 lovely local ladies who longarm for me - both have Statlers, but one is just computerized work and the other is fantastic at free motion work. But I do a lot of my own on my domestic machine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteI am a beginner so I have no experience in long arm quilting or quilters but I like Jackie's work at http://www.cvquiltworks.com/gallery/2/
I posted in my sidebar
ReplyDeleteAdded you to my list :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for entering me!
ReplyDeleteI have never used a longarm quilter...I wish I could, but the sewing budget is very small and I'm always desperate for more fabric :-)
ReplyDeleteI included your giveaway in my blog today:

You are a brave soul. I send all my quilt to a LAQ - can't live without them so go for it - there's lots of work for them all.
ReplyDeleteOh, I would love a new ruler and one that sharpens!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this for my daughter - she's just beginning to quilt and needs a ruler. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI blogged about your giveaway at http://salliessampler.blogspot.com/2011/03/pins-and-bobbins-giving-away-cutting.html
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to try this ruler, and what a great review you did. Sorry you broke yours though, but I appreciate the chance at winning one.
ReplyDeleteNo blog - can't help you out there.
Not a longarmer either - still wishin' & hopin' myself on that front.
I would love to win the ruler but I'm afraid I can't give you any advice on longarm quilting as I'm just starting my adventures in quilting (but I'm loving it!)

Boy, could I use that ruler!! My cutter blades dull down fast because I do so much cutting and quilt making.
ReplyDeletethanks!
I have heard of these rulers and would absolutely love one!! Thanks for having one for a prize! I don't know too much about long arm quilting... I am a hand quilter, but work that I have seen is absolutely gorgeous. Wishing you luck with your business!!

ReplyDeleteI would love to win one of these rulers - they sound awesome. I'm new to quilting, so don't have any advice for you. But I am in awe of the long arm machine. I've watched a video of the machine working online - WOW is all I can say! :)
ReplyDeleteI follower your blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to win one of those rulers. I've been looking at them at a local shop but they don't have a 12" one and that is the size that I need. Thanks for the opportunity to win one!=)
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower.=)
ReplyDeleteI don't have one of these rulers... but sounds like a good deal.
ReplyDeleteI've never long armed quilt but I have always wanted to give it a try. it looks like fun. :)

ReplyDeletesandangels1945@hotmail.com
I have seen these rulers on the blogs but not in the stores yet. They look great. Thanks for the chance to win in your giveaway. Good luck with the long arm business.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win one of these rulers. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI am starting a long arm business too. There are so many hints and suggestions I could not put them in one comment. I think the most important thing to remember is that when someone brings you a quilt it is their pride and joy and they want you to make it even more precious.
ReplyDeleteI've read so many great things about this ruler, though I can't put it on my list right now, so I'd love to win one.
ReplyDeleteI've never done longarm quilting but Im encouraging you to "Go for it". The days and the years go by quickly, and if you've given this a lot of careful thought, then it's time. Good luck!
I've heard about this ruler, but, I haven't seen one and don't know anyone who has one. What a cool tool! I love rulers. I can't help you on long arms, since I'm a hand quilter. Sorry. I do know a few long arm quilters. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteI have been itching to try one of these rulers. They just seem like an awesome idea.
ReplyDeleteI have only had one quilt longarmed and I do love it. It is a simple meander which doesn't take away from the quilt design.
I normally quilt my own quilts on my Babylock Espire.
What a great giveaway. I'd love to own one of these rulers and thank you for the opportunity to win one. I've never had a quilt that was quilted with a longarm but I think I would like to have one quilted for me.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try one of these rulers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI haven't used a long arm quilter (haven't even gotten to quilting my first quilt yet) I am really new at this but this sounds like a fantastic tool to help me get going.
I am also following your blog.
ReplyDeleteHi! I'd love a chance to try one of these rulers - hanging my head in very dull blade shame. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI do my own quilting because having it done professionally is so expensive here in the UK and our fabric is much more expensive in the first place too!! Having said that I would love to have a quilt quilted on a longarm!
ReplyDeleteI have read about these rulers and wondered if they worked okay. Would love to win one.
ReplyDeleteI recently read a review about this ruler and I am intrigued. Would thoroughly enjoy trying it out. Natalia at Piece-n-Quilt is a great longarm quilter and could probably answer any questions you might have. Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteThat ruler looks awesome-- my rotary blade could definitely use sharpening!
ReplyDeleteI also follow your blog in my google reader!
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway. Thanks for offering it.
ReplyDeleteI need a new blade too so this is such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try that ruler out. Thanks for a chance to win.

ReplyDeleteI really do want one of these rulers. I have a longarm and just getting started (slow start)and I am having alot of fun. My only problem is not enough time.
