Wow, it's the 23rd of May and this is my first post for the month. Lame! Lots of excuses, lots of busy, lots of no sewing. But I'm not dead. So I guess that's ok.

I have done a tiny bit of sewing, two bee blocks that need to go in the mail asap. That's something I really hate about living out in the woods - it's a 20 minute drive to the closest post office (40 minutes round trip), which means I don't get there very often.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll figure out how to take a photo of my Made in Cherry quilt. Because, drumroll please, I've actually finished it! And entered it in a quilt show where it didn't win anything. But my not so modern mini did! Woot woot!
Oh, and the only other stuff I've really been doing is hexies. Lots of hexies.

Congrats on the mini win!
ReplyDeleteI live "in town" and it still probably takes me 15 minutes to drive to the post office. :( Which is why I have a stack of packages ready to ship...
Glad to see you "back"!
Love all you have done so far!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see you too! Sometimes you just need a break. Those blocks look pretty fantastic, especially the fun little hexies. :) Tomorrow will be my trek to the post office to mail all of those lovely charm packs. It will be an adventure filling out customs forms for the first time too!
ReplyDeleteP.S. YAY MADE IN CHERRY!
hello old friend! glad you are still alive! i love those blocks and i hope you are enjoying the woods! xo
ReplyDeleteI was wondering where you'be been! Glad all is well and that you've been able to get some sewing in!
ReplyDeleteHello stranger! Liking the makes, keep happy xxx
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain about the post office situation -- it's not that far for me, but the nearest grocery store is 45 minutes away! I still think it's worth it though because I have fresh air, stars in the sky at night, and it's beautiful and green and quiet here. :)
